Making lists is a good habit I have. Several years ago, Ann Voskamp provided a way to begin the new year with a list that has purpose. She listed the items in caps, and each person fills out the rest. I think having purpose for each day is important, helping me to connect with God’s reason for serving Him and others. So here is my list for the New Year.
2026 This is the Year I Purpose To
EMBRACE joy and delight
ENGAGE my mind and heart
BE a loving mom and a good helper
BELIEVE God answers prayer
BREAK habits of distraction
DAILY read and pray and write
DO the hard work of a writer
LET GO of fear and insecurity
LEARN more about writing books and posting blogs
LIVE with a hopeful outlook
GIVE my best for the sake of others
GROW in knowledge, understanding, and wisdom
Now it’s your turn to live with daily purpose.
